Job summary

PM Group is seeking an Automation & Instrumentation Engineer to lead automation and instrumentation design across Pharmaceutical and Data Centre projects in Singapore. duties include designing concepts, front-end and detailed designs, and coordinating with vendors and site teams.

You will produce deliverables, perform site surveys, and ensure regulatory and standards compliance (21CFR part 11, GAMP v5). Strong communication and teamwork will be essential to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience with Automation/Control systems such as SCADA/DCS/Delta-V/PLC.
• Experience in Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, biotech or food/nutritional sectors preferred.
• Experience producing project deliverables in a multi-discipline design environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage time, maximize efficiency and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design automation and instrumentation for pharmaceutical and data centre projects.
• Input automation information into process design.
• Interact with automation vendors and prepare technical bid documents.
• Review automation deliverables from vendors.
• Provide technical support to site engineers during construction.
• Collaborate with Lead Engineer/PM to define design and execution requirements.
• Carry out site visits and surveys.
• Attend design team and project review meetings.
• Prepare automation and instrumentation deliverables.
• Create FDS for building services and process control.
• Support SCADA, HMI operations and user admin in compliance.
• Develop datasheets, specifications, I/O schedules.
• Ensure 21CFR part 11 and GAMP v5 compliance.
• Produce instrument loop sheets, indices, datasheets, wiring diagrams.
• Prepare general E&I specifications.

Job description

PM Group is currently looking to hire an Automation & Instrumentation Engineer that will be responsible for the automation and instrumentation design, including conceptual, front-end and detailed design activities across Pharmaceutical & Data Centre projects in Singapore.

Your day-to-day role would involve the following activities:

• Input Automation information into process design
• Interact with automation vendors including technical preparation of vendor bid documents and technical bid analysis
• Review of automation deliverables prepared by vendors
• Provide technical support to site-based engineers during construction phase of a project.
• Work closely with the Lead Engineer/Project Manager and/or Department Manager, establish the project design and execution requirements
• Carry out site visits / site surveys
• Attend project design team meetings and project review meetings
• Input into concept and basic design reports
• Preparation of automation and instrumentation deliverables
• Functional design specification (FDS)- building services and process control
• Support routine operations for automation aspects such as SCADA, HMI, User administration in compliance with
• Datasheets and specifications for automation equipment and instrumentation
• I/O Schedule- building services and process
• 21CFR part 11 and GAMP v5.0 Compliance Strategy
• Instrumentation deliverables including Loop sheets
  Instrument index
  Instrument datasheets/specifications & Instrument wiring diagrams
• General E&I specification for equipment

We would like to hear from candidates who have:

• Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience with Automation/Control systems such as as SCADA/DCS/Delta-V/PLC
• Experience from Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, biotech or food / nutritional sectors would be highly preferred
• Must have experience in project deliverable production in a multi discipline design environment
• Have ability to work as part of a team and independently
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to manage time, maximize efficiency and meet deadlines
