Job summary

People Profilers Pte Ltd is seeking an Automation Engineer to own and maintain PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems across a manufacturing setting. You will troubleshoot PLCs, develop Ignition SCADA screens, and manage industrial networks while leading automation projects and ensuring safety compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial automation, strong hands-on experience with PLC programming and system integration, and the ability to read electrical schematics for reliable maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Automation, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, or related field.
• Ignition certification would be an advantage.
• Hands-on experience in automation is essential.
• 5+ years of industrial automation experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control circuits.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain PLC, SCADA, HMI, drives, and industrial networks.
• Troubleshoot and program PLCs; optimize control logic.
• Develop and support Ignition SCADA screens, tags, alarms, trends, recipes, user access.
• Provide breakdown support, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Manage industrial communication networks (PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Ethernet/IP).
• Lead automation projects, upgrades, and change management.
• Ensure safety compliance; maintain backups and documentation.
• Train technicians on PLC/SCADA troubleshooting.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime and costs.

Salary: up to $6,000 + AWS + VB

Location: West (Transport pick up from Jurong East)

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and maintain PLC, SCADA, HMI, drives, and communication networks.

• Troubleshoot and program PLCs; optimize control logic.

• Develop and support Ignition SCADA (screens, tags, alarms, trends, recipes, user access).

• Provide breakdown support, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

• Manage industrial communication (PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Ethernet/IP) and system integration.

• Lead automation projects, upgrades, and change management.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards; maintain backups and documentation.

• Train technicians on PLC/SCADA troubleshooting.

• Drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime and optimize costs.

• Provide on‑call support for critical automation incidents.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Automation, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, or related field.

• Relevant automation or Ignition certification would be an advantage.

• Candidates with equivalent technical qualifications and/or relevant hands‑on experience will also be considered

• Preferably 5+ years of industrial automation experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Demonstrate strong hands‑on and practical experience in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and system modifications, including fault diagnosis of PLC I/O, HMI, control logic, alarms, interlocks, industrial communication networks, and PLC/SCADA system integration.

• Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control circuits to support effective equipment maintenance and reliability.

• Experience with HMI, motor drives, industrial communication, and system integration is preferred.
