Responsibilities

• Develop software for automated machines including machine control, robot control and vision inspection systems.
• Participate in the installation, commissioning, qualification and validation of automation control systems.
• Support the design and development of electrical control circuits for machine and full-line automation systems.
• Manage automation projects or assigned sub-modules within larger projects, ensuring timely delivery of project requirements.
• Perform machine setup, testing, troubleshooting and system optimisation.
• Provide on-site and field technical support for automation equipment.
• Travel overseas when required to support project installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and customer requirements.
• Communicate project progress, key issues, risks and other critical matters in a timely manner to management, vendors and relevant stakeholders.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues relating to equipment, processes, materials and automation systems.
• Follow up on identified issues to ensure timely and effective resolution.
• Experience in developing high-performance machine vision algorithms will be an added advantage.
