Job Description:
As an Automation Engineer, you will lead the design, development and implementation of advanced automated systems to drive efficiency, quality, and innovation in manufacturing operations. Your role will involve:
- Designing, developing, and deploying automated production systems that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.
- Creating jigs, fixtures and tooling solutions to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering to identify automation opportunities and implement scalable solutions.
- Programming, commissioning, and maintaining PLCs, robotic systems and other automated equipment.
- Developing intuitive user interfaces, dashboards and data visualization tools for real-time monitoring and control of automated processes.
- Performing troubleshooting, debugging and performance optimization to ensure seamless operation of automation systems.
- Staying abreast of emerging automation technologies, Industry 4.0 trends and IoT-enabled solutions to continuously improve manufacturing capabilities.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, including PLCs, robotics, sensors and process optimization.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or ladder logic for PLCs.
- Strong experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing automation systems and fixtures.
- Solid understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts, IoT integration, and smart manufacturing technologies.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Experience in vision systems, machine learning for automation, or advanced robotics integration.
- Familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) or SCADA platforms.
