Job summary

A public accounting firm in Singapore seeks an experienced auditor to lead audit engagements. Responsibilities include audit planning, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with professional standards. Candidates should have at least 2 years in external auditing and a Diploma in Accounting, with a strong passion for Audit. Immediate availability is a plus.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of working experience in external auditing.
  • Minimum Diploma and above, specializing in Accounting and studied Audit related module(s).
  • Possess high interest or passion in Audit.
  • Act in accordance with applicable professional standards.
  • Available immediately or possessing a short notice period is an added advantage.

Job description
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for audit planning, control testing, substantive testing and overall in charge to ensure finalisation of audit.
  • Prepare audited financial statements.
  • Lead engagement team and provide guidance to supporting staff.
  • Be familiar with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and Singapore Standards on Auditing and relevant regulations.
  • Highlight audit issues, report findings and provide recommendations.
  • Prepare and / or review consolidation of group accounts.
  • Review audit working papers prepared by associate and ensure quality assurance.
  • Check financial statements to validate accuracy
  • Communicate effectively in a work environment
  • Execute assigned audit tasks under supervision
  • Identify areas for personal development to improve work performance
  • Identify ethical conflicts
  • Identify significant accounting & auditing issues
  • Obtain audit evidence to corroborate information
  • Perform quality audit in compliance with professional standards
  • Any other duties as assigned by your supervisors / managers / partners.
