Job description

The audit semi-senior works as part of an audit team or takes responsibility for running the audit, working directly with the client under audit manager and partner supervision. The audit semi-senior supervises the audit process to ensure that our audits are of high quality. The audit semi-senior will also, from time to time, assist in compilation and bookkeeping engagements and other ad hoc tasks assigned by the manager and partner.

Job responsibilities
  • Responsible for the planning, execution and finalisation of all areas of the audit assignment for manager or partner review, seeking inputs for areas of concern and judgement.
  • Identify and raise potential risk issues with the manager / partner, while exercising judgement within agreed parameters.
  • Identify and understand client needs, suggest potential solutions on technical matters and communicate and agree client needs and potential solutions with managers.
  • Supervise, coach and develop junior members of staff within teams, on client premises and in the office.
  • Assist in the preparation of the income tax computations / returns and estimated tax provisions
  • Prepare un-audited financial statements for small and dormant companies
  • Maintain a full set of accounts using accounting software
  • Assist in other ad hoc tasks assigned by the partner or manager.
