Job summary

Synapxe seeks an experienced audit and governance professional to lead audit, assurance, and compliance activities across technology domains and third-party management. You will coordinate evidence gathering, walkthroughs, and stakeholder engagements, ensuring adherence to governance standards and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes identifying gaps, assessing risks, and driving remediation, with a focus on cybersecurity, critical systems, and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience leading audits, assessments, and governance reviews in technology or regulated environments.
• Ability to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement in controls and processes.
• Strong collaboration with auditors, regulators, and service providers to drive remediation.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity, critical systems, and regulatory requirements in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate audit, assurance, and compliance activities across technology, project governance, and third-party management domains.
• Act as the key liaison between stakeholders, auditors, regulators, and service providers for audits, assessments, and compliance reviews.
• Plan and coordinate audit preparation activities, including evidence collection, documentation reviews, audit walkthroughs, and stakeholder engagements.
• Conduct compliance reviews and control assessments to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support assurance initiatives relating to cybersecurity, critical systems, infrastructure, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with project teams and stakeholders to ensure adherence to governance frameworks, project methodologies, policies, and control requirements.
• Coordinate audits and reviews involving third-party service providers, including audit planning, findings management, remediation tracking, and closure activities.
• Monitor, track, and report audit findings, risks, compliance issues, and remediation actions to ensure timely resolution.
• Support the procurement and engagement of external auditors, consultants, and professional service providers, including requirements definition,evaluation, contract administration, and vendor performance monitoring.
• Develop, review, and maintain policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidelines, templates, and governance artefacts to strengthen audit readiness and operational effectiveness.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards, presentations, and updates on audit, compliance, governance, and risk-related matters.
• Drive continuousimprovement initiatives to strengthen controls, enhance governance practices,and improve organisational audit readiness.
