Job description

Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world‑renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature‑based experiences, green public spaces and an eco‑friendly resort.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the daily upkeep of audio, visual and lighting systems in assigned show areas and AV room.
  • Perform daily audio live show operations, maintenance, pre‑show checks, setup, and troubleshooting of equipment e.g. soundboard, wireless microphones, audio and video playbacks, amplifiers, speakers etc.
  • Assist Seniors and Supervisors in sourcing and edit music, sound effects, voice‑overs, lighting programming, and other elements to support newly introduced segments in presentations.
  • Enhance audio and visual elements for existing presentations, with the use of softwares e.g. Adobe Audition, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, QLab, Dataton Watchout, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro etc.
  • Submit daily checklist and reports as identified by Supervisors.
  • Aid and perform other duties to support presentations, special programs, and the daily activities of the department as assigned by Supervisors e.g. crowd management, backstage duties, guest assistance, animal release and confinement and other show ad‑hoc functions.
  • Provide audio visual support to other departments such as providing and edit music, voiceover for tram rides, etc and assist other AV Crews across the park when necessary.
  • Comply with all workplace safety rules and regulations when carrying out duties.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned by Supervisors.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of technical and operational experience with live sound/show, audio and visual related industries.
  • Able to work on weekends, public holidays and night shifts.
  • Able to work under pressure, multitask in a fast‑paced environment and run live shows independently when necessary.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficient in Digital Soundboards, QLab, Denon/Numark playbacks and Mac OS.
  • Able to contribute new audio visual concepts and ideas to improve presentations.
