Job summary

Versant Media's CNBC International audience internship invites university undergraduates to explore multimedia journalism focused on business news and markets. You’ll support social media storytelling, video editing, and data reporting while collaborating with Singapore and Europe teams to broaden CNBC content.

The role combines research, writing and collaboration in a dynamic newsroom, with opportunities to learn journalism fundamentals.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student in business, economics, mass communication, media production or similar.
• Must have the legal right to work in Singapore.
• Available for a full-time internship from January to June.
• Keen interest in business news and financial markets.
• Basic video editing; Premiere Pro ideal.
• Knowledge of graphics software; Photoshop or similar ideal.
• Ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced news environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Flexible shift patterns with early morning starts.

Responsibilities

• Pitch and produce social media posts related to CNBC content to drive traffic.
• Collaborate with colleagues in Singapore and Europe to amplify CNBC content on social platforms.
• Support planning, production and editing of shorts/video content.
• Collect and analyze audience data and prepare reports.
• Assist Digital team to research, report, write and upload stories to CNBC.com.
• Coordinate with Singapore newsroom on joint projects and news pitches.
