Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and optimize custom applications and workflows within the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Flow Designer, scripting, catalog items, and workflow automation. You will play a key role in enhancing user experience and operational efficiency through intelligent automation and streamlined service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Custom Application Development: Build and maintain custom applications tailored to business needs using ServiceNow Studio and scoped applications.
- Flow Designer Expertise: Design and implement complex workflows using Flow Designer, including multi-task flows, rollback mechanisms, and conditional logic.
- Scripting: Develop and optimize server-side and client-side scripts (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, Client Scripts).
- Order Guides & Variables: Configure Order Guides with dynamic variables, managing both left and right panel behaviors for intuitive user experiences.
- Email Notifications: Create and manage email templates and notification triggers based on workflow events and user actions.
- Script Optimization: Refactor and streamline existing scripts for performance, readability, and maintainability.
- Catalog Item Development: Design and configure Service Catalog items with associated workflows, variables, and user interface policies.
- Workflow Automation: Build and maintain workflows using both legacy Workflow Editor and Flow Designer, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Rollback Mechanisms: Implement rollback strategies within Flow Designer to ensure data integrity and error handling.
- Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, business analysts, and other developers to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer with strong understanding of the platform architecture.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting components.
- Hands-on experience with Flow Designer, Service Catalog, and Workflow Editor.
- Familiarity with Order Guides, variables configuration, and UI customization.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (preferred).
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Exposure to ITSM, ITOM, or HRSD modules.
- Integration experience using REST/SOAP APIs.
