Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Project Engineer. The role involves coordinating project activities across multiple sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, and managing schedules. Candidates should have a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD and excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin are preferred. This position is open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents.

Qualifications

ASST PROJECT ENGINEER / PROJECT ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC)

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise project activities at multiple sites.
• Effectively manage project schedules to ensure timely execution.
• Support project planning, design review, material requisition, cost control, and documentation.
• Monitor on-site progress and ensure projects are completed within scope and deadlines.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and suppliers on all project-related matters.
• Assist in preparing quotations and interpreting technical specifications, design intents, and ELV system schematics.
• Support procurement planning and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Assist in preparing and delivering technical presentations to existing and prospective clients.
• Ensure all site work complies with industry codes, OHS standards, and client requirements.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience; ELV experience is advantageous.
• Fresh graduates with strong fundamentals are welcome to apply.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) for effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, planning, and project coordination skills.
• Able to manage tight schedules and deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge and certification in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 are preferred.
• Familiarity with Singapore Government procurement processes is an added advantage.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude, critical thinking, innovative problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, results-driven mindset.
• Willing to travel overseas when required.
