Job Description Treasury is part of Financial Control Department (FCD) and is responsible for the funding strategy, liquidity management and treasury activities of Mizuho Securities entities across the Asia-Pacific region. You will be responsible for supporting the firm's treasury activities, including funding execution, liquidity management, treasury reporting, and strategic treasury initiatives. Working closely with the Head of Treasury and other team members, you will play a key role in ensuring the firm's funding and liquidity needs are managed efficiently and prudently. The role requires close collaboration with Front Office, Operations, Risk Management, Compliance, and other stakeholders across the Mizuho Group. The successful candidate should possess experience in funding and liquidity management within a financial institution and demonstrate a good understanding of capital markets products, trading activities, and their funding and liquidity implications.
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline. Relevant experience in Treasury, Liquidity Risk Management, Asset and Liability Management, or other related functions within a bank, securities firm, asset manager, or financial institution. Candidates should typically possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience for the Associate level and over 5 years for the Vice President level. The role offered may be at the Associate or Vice President level depending on the candidate's experience, technical expertise and demonstrated capabilities. SFC and/or MAS representative licensing is advantageous. Candidates who are not currently licensed must obtain the necessary qualifications and complete all applicable regulatory registration requirements. Good understanding of capital markets products, funding and liquidity management, financial institution balance sheets, and relevant regulatory requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyse large datasets. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with data analysis tools. Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines. Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and seniority levels. Familiarity with ISDA, CSA, and GMRA documentation and negotiation process would be an advantage.
Eligibility to work in Singapore or Hong Kong, depending on the location of the role.
