Job summary

NOVEXX PTE. LTD. is seeking an Associate Scientist (Quality Control / Analytical Development) for a 1-year contract in Singapore. You will perform analytical testing, validate methods, and ensure equipment cleanliness to support clinical campaigns and quality standards.

Responsibilities include analytical support, technology transfer, and compliance with cGMP and safety guidelines, while maintaining training records and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years in QC or R&D analytical lab under cGMP.
• Hands-on proficiency in HPLC, GC, FTIR, KF, and appearance testing.
• Strong communication for cross-functional knowledge transfer.

• Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing on raw materials, intermediates, and packaging components for release or rejection.
• Conduct cleaning verification and validation to ensure equipment safety and quality for clinical use.
• Execute analytical method validation focusing on cleaning methods.

Position Title: Associate Scientist (Quality Control / Analytical Development)

Position Type: 1-Year Contract Renewable Yearly

Location: Singapore, West

Monthly Compensation: SGD $4500- $5000 + Standard and Good Benefits , eg : sign on bonus

Position Overview

Our client a World Class biopharmaceutical company seeking a detail-oriented Associate Scientist to provide robust analytical and technical quality control support within the laboratory operations. In this role, you will perform quality control testing, analytical method validation, and equipment cleaning verifications to support clinical campaigns and ongoing operational quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Analytical & Technical Support

• Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing on raw materials, intermediates, and packaging components to generate accurate results for release or rejection.

• Perform cleaning verification and validation testing to ensure manufacturing equipment meets strict safety and quality standards for clinical use.

• Execute analytical method validation, specifically focusing on cleaning method validation.

• Maintain and calibrate non-GMP analytical laboratory equipment in accordance with established standard operating procedures.

• Participate in cross-functional team meetings and technical teleconferences as needed.

Technical Transfer & Clinical Campaign Support

• Co-lead and support the introduction of new analytical methods into site operations.

• Facilitate seamless, timely technical knowledge transfer activities to receiving site teams and regional analytical groups.

Quality Compliance & Safety

• Maintain strict adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), internal quality guidelines, and safety procedures.

• Prepare laboratory systems and documentation for internal and external quality, cGMP, and safety audits.

• Maintain personal training logs, ensuring all compliance certifications remain current.

• Follow all site laboratory safety protocols, handle proper disposal of hazardous waste, and maintain exceptional standards of laboratory housekeeping.

• Participate actively in routine safety audits and resolve assigned corrective actions promptly.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a closely related scientific discipline.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of practical experience working in a Quality Control (QC) or R&D analytical laboratory environment under cGMP conditions.

• Core Instrumentation & Analytical Skills: Hands-on proficiency and strong technical execution in:

  • High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)

  • Gas Chromatography (GC)

  • Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR)

  • Karl Fischer (KF) Titration

  • Appearance and physical testing standards

• Soft Skills: Clear technical communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and knowledge transfer.
