Asia Strategic Investments Group (ASIG)

ASIG operates a pan‑Asia real‑estate investment mandate based in Singapore, covering equity, credit, funds & co‑investments, secondaries, special situations, structured investments, platforms and corporate‑style investments. This role focuses on scaling GIC RE’s Asia Pacific credit and structured solutions business.

What will you do in this role?

• Screen and evaluate investment opportunities through market research, financial analysis, and feasibility studies; make recommendations to senior team members
• Build and maintain financial models used to underwrite deals
• Support end‑to‑end deal execution, including approvals, due diligence, negotiation, structuring, documentation and closing
• Monitor markets to identify industry trends that inform investment underwriting and portfolio construction
• Track portfolio performance and specific investments, reviewing against underwriting and budget targets
• Engage with third‑party managers, counterparties and intermediaries for underwriting and monitoring purposes
• Research and prepare papers on new investment themes and strategies
• Assist senior team members in business development and relationship building, including sourcing and performing due diligence on prospective managers

Qualifications, skills and traits

• Good academic qualifications with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in banking, investment, debt capital markets, real‑estate debt financing, structured finance or credit
• Excellent quantitative and financial modelling skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to analyze complex situations, think creatively, synthesize information and distil it into clear messages
