Job summary

A community service organization is seeking an Associate Psychologist in Singapore. The role involves delivering psychological services, conducting assessments, and supporting trainees with emotional and behavioral needs. Qualifications

  • Proficiency in implementing interventions based on Positive Behaviour Support is preferred.

THKMC today serves more than 70,000 beneficiaries through more than 70 programmes across five Services, which include Disability, Early Intervention for Children, Family, Seniors' Community, and Therapy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Associate Psychologist, working as part of an interdisciplinary team under supervision of the Senior Psychologist, will be responsible for the delivery of quality psychological and training services to address and support trainees' learning, emotional, behavioral needs and challenges.

Deliver and support intervention
  • Provide routine intervention to support trainees
  • Collaborate with centre staff (Programme and Allied Health Professionals) to implement intervention, strategies and development plans tailored to trainees' evolving needs
  • Support in the development and the implementation of individualized development and therapeutic plans for trainees
  • Provide emergency support to staff during behavioral or crisis incidents requiring immediate intervention
  • Support existing incident reporting systems to ensure accurate and efficient documentation
  • Prepare detailed written reports and materials related to trainees' behavioral and developmental needs
  • Maintain accurate psychological reports and documentation
Admission assessments and review
  • Conduct initial/intake assessment alongside the multi-disciplinary team as part of routine implementation
  • Prepare psychological assessment and observational progress monitoring reports
Programme and services
  • Support Enabling Skills for Life Programme related work/training matters
  • Implement and monitor program plans to ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by Centre Manager and Head of Community Services
  • Identify, recommend and implement improvements in client care models and service delivery, aligned with evidence-based practices
Qualities
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with multiple stakeholders: including staff and external partners.
