Job Title: Associate Psychologist (Research)
Location: Caldecott
1-year Contract

About the Role:
My client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Psychologist (Research) to contribute to meaningful research projects in the social service sector. You will support the development, implementation, and analysis of psychology research initiatives that benefit various populations served by social services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and implementation of research projects related to psychology.
  • Conduct research data collection from populations served by the social service sector.
  • Set up and maintain databases and dashboards using Excel.
  • Liaise with and monitor research data collection by collaborators.
  • Perform data-related tasks including collating information from multiple sources, cleaning datasets, and conducting analyses.
  • Assist with qualitative interviews or focus groups, transcribing audio, and preparing research presentation decks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a relevant discipline (e.g., Social Sciences, Public Health, Statistics).
  • Prior research experience in psychology, including data collection, managing questionnaires, and data cleaning/analysis.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and at least one statistical software (e.g., RStudio, SPSS).
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Meticulous, detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work independently under multiple deadlines.
  • Comfort working with special populations, such as persons with disabilities, youths in residential care, or correctional settings.
  • Completion of an honours thesis in social sciences is a plus.
