Job description

APSN Tanglin School Relocating to Ang Mo Kio in Q4 2025

Job Purpose

You shall be working closely with various stakeholders to provide assessment, intervention, consultation and training services to address clients’ learning/emotional/behavioural needs and difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and assess clients behaviour and needs via observation, interviews and informal tests.
  • Assist, administer and monitor appropriate treatment strategies and therapy modalities, with support from Psychologist or Senior Psychologist.
  • Assist, plan and deliver individual or group interventions in collaboration with Psychologist or Senior Psychologist.
  • Work with other allied health professionals and direct service staff to provide multi‑disciplinary support to the clients so as to maximize their capabilities.
  • Work with direct service staff (teachers), caregivers and families to implement intervention strategies and programmes, and to provide consultations to them, as necessary.
  • Maintain updated client records of interventions and reports.
  • Assist and conduct relevant discipline‑related training to direct care staff, caregivers and families, and volunteers.
  • Participate and contribute in APSN‑CYS initiated special projects such as public education, conferences, applied research, deputyship applications, etc.
  • On‑site structured job training will be provided by Psychologist or Senior Psychologist.
Job Requirements
Technical Competencies / Preferred Achievements / Characteristics
  • Strong academic background and Degree in Psychology from a recognised University in Singapore.
Core Competencies
  • Good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate for working with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities (Pediatric population).
