About the Organization

United Women Singapore (UWS) is a local non-profit organisation with IPC status that advances women's empowerment and gender equality and builds a pipeline of women leaders and influencers in Singapore. The organisation has been operating for over 27 years and works towards narrowing the gender equality gap through education and raising awareness and advocacy on issues such as women's empowerment and anti-violence, with the support of key stakeholders including corporate partners, government agencies, academia, the diplomatic community, other non-profit and community groups and the wider community.

Job Purpose

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Partnerships and Fundraising Associate to support the development and implementation of diverse fundraising strategies. This role involves planning flagship events, exploring alternative fundraising models, and building strategic partnerships, with a focus on raising funds through multiple channels such as retail, digital campaigns, CSR collaborations, and community engagement. The ideal candidate is organised, relationship-oriented, and passionate about driving social impact.

Key Responsibilities
Fundraising Strategy & Execution
  • Support the planning and execution of fundraising initiatives across various channels, including events, digital campaigns, retail collaborations, CSR partnerships, and peer-to-peer fundraising.
  • Coordinate flagship fundraising events, handling logistics, budgets, permits, vendors, and on-site operations.
  • Stock management of fundraising merchandise.
  • Collaborate with Communications to develop outreach materials and promote campaigns across digital and traditional platforms.
  • Assist in donor engagement, campaign tracking, and volunteer coordination for both event-based and non-event fundraising activities.
  • Evaluate the performance of fundraising efforts to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Support the implementation of partnership and stakeholder engagement strategies to foster strong, long-term relationships.
  • Maintain regular communication with partners, sponsors, donors, and volunteers through email, newsletters, and social media.
  • Assist in managing donor relationships, including memberships, recurring contributions, and recognition efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Programmes Team to align fundraising efforts with programme needs and ensure adequate financial support for ongoing initiatives.
  • Coordinate engagement activities for volunteers, members, and interns to build a strong supporter community.
Alternative Fundraising & Retail Partnerships
  • Support the Asst. Manager in identifying and implementing innovative fundraising channels including CSR tie-ups, cause marketing, peer-to-peer, and digital campaigns.
  • Develop and manage partnerships with retail brands and outlets for co-branded campaigns, donation drives, and revenue-sharing models.
  • Explore collaborations with lifestyle, hospitality, and consumer brands aligned with the organisation’s mission.
  • Monitor trends in philanthropy, retail, and digital fundraising to propose fresh, creative fundraising ideas.
Internal Coordination & Administration
  • Maintain effective communication with internal teams to ensure alignment and efficiency across fundraising efforts.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and coordination of all activities related to partners, events, campaigns, and donor engagement.
  • Support reporting and data entry tasks related to fundraising, partnerships, and donor management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the team’s objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, Business, or related field.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in fundraising, partnerships, event planning, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional and persuasive approach.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
  • Creative, proactive mindset and willingness to explore new fundraising models.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with fundraising tools, CRM systems, or event management software is a plus.
  • Passion for community development, education, or social impact.
  • Comfortable with data tracking, donor reporting, and campaign analysis.
  • Experience working with volunteers, donors, or CSR teams.
  • Must be Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
