About the job:

Reporting to the APAC Business Controls and Technical Accounting Senior Manager, the APAC Associate Manager, Revenue COE will play an instrumental role in shaping and operationalizing the Revenue Center of Excellence (COE) for APAC region. This role will support the development of the COE’s structure and framework, with the objective of centralizing revenue-related expertise, driving process standardization, and enabling scalability across APAC. The candidate will support day to day revenue processes, including contract reviews, accounting assessments, and the resolution of complex technical accounting issues related to sales arrangements. This is a highly visible role that will collaborate closely with local Finance teams, Shared Service Center, Commercial, Legal, and Compliance to ensure consistent application of US GAAP and Stryker’s revenue policies, while supporting the development of efficient, future-ready revenue processes.

The candidate will be responsible for partnering with local finance teams to assess sales arrangements, identify accounting implications under US GAAP, and provide guidance to ensure transactions comply with Stryker’s accounting policies and internal control framework and are recorded appropriately. He/She will support the development and implementation of standardized processes across APAC relating to revenue accounting matters.

This role requires a strong understanding of technical accounting, controllership processes, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate brings a combination of professional and commercial experience (7–10 years), with the ability to turn complex accounting topics and financial considerations into actionable business insights. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to collaborate effectively with local finance, commercial, legal, and compliance teams throughout the sales arrangement lifecycle.

What you will be doing:

  • Establish Revenue COE Framework: Support the design and implementation of a scalable operating model for the Revenue COE in alignment with APAC’s growth and complexity.
  • Advise on Sales Arrangement Structuring and Contracts: Collaborate with Commercial, Legal, Compliance, Tender and Finance teams during sales arrangement structuring and draft contract stages to identify revenue accounting implications, flag risks and ensure compliance with ASC 606 and Corporate Finance Policies.
  • Lead Contract Review and Accounting Assessments: Prepare revenue related technical memos and accounting assessments for sales arrangements, ensuring compliance with ASC 606, Corporate Finance Policies, and internal controls requirements. Clearly communicate accounting conclusions to stakeholders.
  • Standardize Revenue Processes Across APAC: Collaborate with local finance teams and shared service center to drive standardization and implement best practices in contract review, financial compliance monitoring, and revenue reporting.
  • Strengthen Financial Contract Compliance: Partner with local teams to enhance contract financial compliance monitoring processes.
  • Support Process Automation and Tool Implementation: Support implementation of contract management and other automation tools to improve efficiency, control, and audit readiness within the revenue end to end cycle.
  • Enable Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training to build stakeholder awareness of revenue-related financial risks, accounting standards, and financial compliance expectations.
  • Support Regional Reporting: Contribute to regional reporting on revenue areas, offering technical insights and updates on key sales arrangements and trends across APAC.

Who are we looking for:

  • Degree holder in Accounting or Finance.
  • Qualified Accountant with a designation from a recognized accounting body
  • US MNC exposure preferable with 7-10 years of solid, hands‑on accounting or audit experience;
  • US GAAP, SOX 404 experience is necessary
  • Project & Process Management Expertise will be a plus
  • Excellent language skills with proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Proficiency in a second language such as Chinese or Japanese will be preferred
  • Able to understand complex situations, think critically, and find practical solutions.
  • Explains technical accounting concepts in a simple way and works well with both finance and non-finance teams.
  • Builds good relationships and works effectively across different functions and cultures.
  • Comfortable with change and able to learn and adjust quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Acts with honesty, takes responsibility, and always follows company policies and accounting standards.
