Job summary

Lonza in Singapore seeks an Associate Manager, Facility (Engineering) to oversee site operations and ensure compliant, reliable infrastructure. You will lead preventive maintenance, manage service providers, and support safety and GMP requirements in a fully site-based role at Singapore Tuas.

You will guide an Electrical team, drive continuous improvements, and mentor staff while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure high-quality manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in facility management within a regulated or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of cGMP, GDP, and GEP principles.
• Familiarity with CMMS and digital maintenance tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facility operations and ensure service providers meet performance and quality standards.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs to keep equipment reliable.
• Lead electrical team for day-to-day activities including fire alarm testing.
• Support GMP, workplace safety, and environmental protection requirements.
• Lead investigations on deviations and implement CAPAs.
• Coach and mentor a team to strengthen technical capabilities.

Title: Associate Manager, Facility (Engineering)

We are looking for an Associate Manager who will help keep our site safe, reliable, and fully operational. In this role, you will lead facility operations, support preventive maintenance, and ensure our infrastructure meets the highest quality and safety standards.

This is a fully site-based role at Singapore Tuas. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do

• Oversee facility operations and ensure service providers meet performance and quality standards.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs to keep equipment and infrastructure reliable.
• Manage Electrical team who will be handling day in/out routine electrical activities like fire alarm system testing
• Support GMP, workplace safety, and environmental protection requirements.
• Conduct routine facility inspections and coordinate repairs to minimize disruptions.
• Review service performance, renew contracts, and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead investigations related to deviations, observations, or interruptions and implement CAPAs.
• Coach and mentor, a team to strengthen technical capabilities.

What we are looking for

• Experience in facility management within a regulated or manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of cGMP, GDP, and GEP principles.
• Knowledge of utilities, fire safety, and building systems.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with CMMS and digital maintenance tools.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and word processing tools.
