Job summary

Lion Global Investors Limited is seeking an Associate, Finance to manage accounts payable, prepare financial and regulatory reports, and assist with month-end and year-end closings in Singapore.

The role requires a Diploma in Accountancy or Finance, 2–3 years in a similar setting, and strong Excel/Word skills with ERP experience. You will handle journal entries, fixed assets, GST remissions and MAS637 reporting while upholding confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accountancy or Finance specialization or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in a commercial environment, preferably financial institutions; fresh graduates with the relevant qualifications are welcome.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented with initiative and resourcefulness.
• Integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word; knowledge of ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, including vendor invoices, staff claims and payments.
• Prepare financial, management and regulatory reports for an overseas branch.
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing.
• Prepare journal entries for prepayments, accruals and adjustments.
• Perform monthly reconciliations.
• Manage soft commission credit and expenses, including reconciling brokers' statements and preparing payments and month-end accrual journal entries.
• Manage fixed assets records, including annual verification, depreciation entries and disposals in the accounting system.
• Prepare and submit quarterly GST remissions, including collating invoices and compute GST claimable.
• Compute counterparty risk requirements for investments per MAS637 and prepare MAS 637 (BASEL III) report to parent company.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable, including vendor invoices, staff claims and payments.
• Prepare financial, management and regulatory reports for an overseas branch.
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing.
• Prepare journal entries for prepayments, accruals and adjustments.
• Perform monthly reconciliations.
• Manage soft commission credit and expenses, including reconciling brokers' statements of accounts and preparing payments and month-end accrual journal entries.
• Manage fixed assets record, including perform annual fixed asset verification, reconciliation of the fixed assets record, entry of additions and disposals into the accounting system, generate depreciation and disposals accounting entries.
• Prepare and submit quarterly GST remissions, including collating and tabulating vendors' invoices and compute the amount of GST claimable.
• Compute counterparty risk requirements for the company's investments in accordance with MAS637 rules and prepare monthly MAS 637 (BASEL III) report to parent company.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Accountancy or Finance specialization, or an equivalent qualification.
• Preferably 2-3 years of relevant working experience in a comparable role within a commercial environment, ideally in financial institutions; fresh graduates with the relevant qualifications are also welcome to apply.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented working style, with good organizational and follow-up skills, as well as a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness.
• Integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
• Team spirit, self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Maturity and confidence.
