A leading media company in Singapore is seeking an Associate Engineer (Facilities) to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of critical building systems at the SPH Print Centre. The ideal candidate should have a diploma in engineering, 1–3 years of relevant experience, and strong teamwork skills. This role involves supervising contractors, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates must be able to work shifts and are offered on-the-job training.
The Associate Engineer (Facilities) will be responsible for the daily operations, maintenance, and reliable performance of critical building systems at SPH Print Centre.
Perform daily facilities operations, planned maintenance, and troubleshooting of M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) systems.
Conduct routine inspections and performance monitoring of critical M&E systems, including chillers, ACMV (Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation), cooling towers, pumps, and electrical distribution systems.
Supervise and inspect maintenance work performed by external contractors on M&E, fire alarm, and other critical equipment to ensure strict compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards.
Assist in project coordination for facility improvements, system upgrades, and equipment replacement projects.
Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.
1–3 years of relevant experience in facility management or industrial plant maintenance.
Good foundational understanding of chiller plant operations, electrical distribution systems, and fire safety systems.
Basic knowledge of PLC/SCADA, building automation, and control systems would be a distinct advantage.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal departments and external vendors.
Able to work rotating shifts including night shifts, on weekends and public holidays
Physically fit and prepared to work overtime when necessary, particularly during critical maintenance or plant shutdown periods.
