About The Job

The Associate Director reports to the Director (Campus Planning and Development) and is responsible for the management of SUSS's Campus Development Project. The Associate Director will need to plan, lead and manage the project, liaise with all key stakeholders, including the end User, to ensure project timeliness as well as efficient management of cost, safety and quality standards.

What You Will Be Doing
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Director in overseeing and managing the project, which encompasses the procurement, design development, consultancy and contracts management, commissioning and project handover to end User.
  • Liaise with end User on project requirements and coordinate on the interfacing aspects of the project with other developments.
  • Develop the project brief and requirements for the construction contracts.
  • Administer the construction procurement process to ensure compliance with SUSS's procurement policy for construction works and services and financial procedures.
  • Project lead and manage the development works to ensure that the project is delivered within timeline and budget, meeting safety and quality standards and achieving desired outcomes.
  • Identify project interface issues and coordinate between stakeholders to develop solutions and implement mitigating measures.
  • Attend consultant and site meetings with the Project Team and ensure that contractual requirements are carried out on time and within budget.
  • Meet financial objectives of the project by forecasting requirements, preparing annual budget, scheduling expenditures, reporting budget and cashflow updates, analysing variances and initiating corrective actions.
  • Coordinate between key stakeholders for project alignment and fund transfers.
  • Undertake any other tasks or responsibilities as required by Management in the course of work.
Job Requirements
  • University degree with at least 20 years of relevant working experience as Project Manager preferably in public/developer organisations or consulting firms.
  • Relevant experience in leading and managing development projects.
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement framework and regulatory requirements.
  • Strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills and positive working attitude.
  • Good writing, communication and presentation skills.
  • Meticulous and capable of working independently to resolve issues and challenges.
  • Good time management and work well under pressure.
  • Good leader and team player.
  • Conversant with various applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
