Job summary

DBS Bank is seeking a mid-level Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen regional security initiatives in DBS Asia Hub. You will partner with vendors, business units, and IT teams to design and implement security controls, respond to incidents, and help automate security operations.

You will apply knowledge of NIST/ISO/OWASP frameworks, work with UNIX/Linux/Windows environments, and leverage scripting (Python, PowerShell, Ansible) to reduce manual tasks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cybersecurity engineering or information security experience.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (NIST, ISO, OWASP).
• Experience with UNIX, AIX, Linux, and Windows environments.
• Knowledge of encryption/authentication methods (2FA, DES, SSL, certificates) and DMZ development.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell, Ansible).
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills; ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Certifications in CISSP, CISA, GIAC are desirable.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a cybersecurity engineering or information security role, preferably in the financial services industry
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices, such as NIST, ISO, and OWASP
• Technical experience with UNIX, AIX, Linux, Windows.
• Knowledge of encryption and authentication methods such as 2FA, DES, Digital Certificates, SSL, IPSec and development of DMZ’s.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with focus on eliminating manual tasks.
• Ability to correlate data from multiple log sources to create effective automation use cases.
• Proficient in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Ansible) to streamline security operations and reduce manual intervention
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills to identify and address complex security challenges
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Certifications in relevant cybersecurity domains (e.g., CISSP, CISA, GIAC) are highly desirable
