Job summary

Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, part of the National University Health System, is seeking an Associate Consultant Interventional Radiologist to provide a broad range of image-guided procedures and expert patient care.

The role includes interpreting imaging studies, on-call duties for interventional and diagnostic radiology, and collaboration with clinicians to tailor treatment plans. Teaching residents and students is also part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or eligibility in Radiology (FRCR).
• Current valid medical license to practice in Singapore.
• Proven experience performing a wide range of interventional radiology procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Commitment to quality patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional radiology procedures including line/drain insertions, biopsy, angiography, angioplasty, embolization, tumor ablations, and vascular interventions.
• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies (CT, MRI, ultrasound, X-ray).
• Provide stay-out on-call service for interventional radiology and diagnostic radiology.
• Collaborate with referring physicians to determine treatment plans.
• Document procedures and patient progress in EMR.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and stay current with advancements.
• Teach and mentor residents and medical students.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures including but not limited to line and drain insertions, image guided biopsy, angiography, angioplasty, embolization, tumor ablations, and vascular interventions.
• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies such as CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and x-rays.
• Provide stay-out on-call service for interventional radiology, as well as stay-out call duties for diagnostic radiology.
• Collaborate closely with referring physicians and other healthcare providers to determine the most effective treatment plans for patients.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of procedures, patient progress, and treatment outcomes in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and contribute expertise to patient management strategies.
• Stay current with advancements in interventional radiology techniques, equipment, and procedures through continuing education and professional development.
• Teach and mentor residents and medical students.

Qualifications
