The opportunity

As an Associate, you will apply good judgment and excellent analytical skills to your work. Highly organised, detail-oriented and self‑motivated, you’ll be hard working and a team player with a strong professional presence and client focus.

White & Case is regularly involved in some of the most successful securities offerings throughout Asia-Pacific. Our team has advised on offerings across the region, including Singapore, Indonesia, India, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.

This combination, paired with our substantial presence in the key financial centres of New York and London, is particularly valuable to clients accessing the global capital markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist on various capital markets transactions (equity, equity‑linked, and debt deals)
  • Draft, review, and prepare a range of legal documents (offering memoranda, prospectuses, term sheets, agreements, trust deeds, SEC filings, announcements)
  • Conduct legal due diligence, including reviewing corporate records and material contracts
  • Manage work streams, coordinate third‑party due diligence, and handle accounting comfort letters
  • Prepare ancillary documentation (legal opinions, closing certificates)
  • Conduct legal research on securities laws and market trends
  • Support transaction signings, closings, and post‑closing activities (signing packs, checklists, transaction bibles, compliance)
  • Liaise with issuers, underwriters, and other stakeholders, ensuring deliverables are met
The skills and attributes we are looking for
  • 2‑4 years’ experience in ECM/IPO and DCM transactions gained with an international or reputable local law firm
  • Common law or US qualification required
  • Fluent English
  • Strong academic record and intellectual curiosity, creative and analytical thinker with strong judgment skills
  • Outstanding communication skills - written and verbal
  • Strong time management skills, ability to stay calm under pressure when working across multiple deals
  • Client service focus and commercial awareness
  • Team player
  • Proactive, diligent and a self‑starter
