• Investigate system exceptions and data issues affecting risk outputs.
• Review risk outputs for anomalies and ensure usability by stakeholders.

• Engage internal/external data providers to resolve data quality issues.

We work collaboratively across teams to help guard against blind spots and ensure that all relevant risks are considered and duly addressed.

You will deploy state-of-the-art data and systems required for all aspects of risk and performance analysis and reporting.

What will you do as a Risk Systems Analyst?

• Work with risk managers, risk analysts, and technology teams to design and enhance risk system functionality, including new risk measurement capabilities
• Perform UAT and post-deployment validation to confirm system changes meet risk measurement and reporting requirements
• Assess the impact of new products, portfolio changes, or corporate initiatives on existing risk systems and processes, escalating issues as needed
• Run enterprise-level market risk calculations as part of the operational cycle, overseeing end-to-end workflows from batch preparation through reconciliation and publishing
• Manage production issues, batch job failures, and data upload errors, ensuring timely resolution to meet reporting deadlines
• Investigate system exceptions, unloaded positions, risk model failures, and missing transactions affecting the completeness and accuracy of risk outputs, and respond to related queries from risk managers and other end-users
• Review risk outputs for anomalies, ensuring results are fit for use by risk managers and senior stakeholders
• Maintain and enhance system and data validation tools/reports to uphold data quality standards
• Leverage AI-assisted tools and data analytics techniques to improve operational efficiency, automate repetitive processes, and enhance investigation of data quality and production support issues.
• Engage internal and external data providers to resolve data quality and coverage issues

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

• A good Degree in Banking & Finance, Engineering or related fields of study
• Basic understanding of financial products (including derivatives), market data and risk analytics
• Good working knowledge of database and data models
• Experience in working with risk or valuation systems, either in the form of project implementation, operation or reporting
• Strong technical skills such as Microsoft Office suite, data visualisation and analytics tools, SQL or other programming languages
• Familiarity with AI-assisted productivity, analytics or automation tools, and willingness to explore emerging technologies to improve operational processes, will be advantageous.
• Able to work independently under pressure
• Good team player who possesses drive and initiative to be able to work with minimal supervision
