Investment Services Private Markets

The Investment Services Private Market (ISPVM) Department provides strategic investment services and financial management for the Private Markets within the GIC group. Leveraging data and emerging technologies, the department oversees the development and implementation of business infrastructural plans and operating models to scale GIC’s alternative asset investments globally. This covers deal structuring, due diligence and closing, financial operations across GIC’s assets, as well as tax structuring, corporate holding structures, valuations, and financial reporting.

What impact can you make in this role? Investment & Deal Execution – Deal Management

Join our leading team to provide investment, deal closing, regulatory operations, and finance specialist’s services across private markets equity/debt, credit, real assets, and cross‑strategy investments through a scalable transaction execution platform. Collaborate closely with the Deal Team and various internal and external teams to ensure smooth and timely closings of private markets investments. This role requires clear communication, tactical deal advisory, and exceptional organizational skills.

What will you do in the Investment & Deal Execution team?
  • Lead deal execution. Manage financial due diligence, compliance, KYC, structures, board resolutions, and regulatory approvals for private markets investments in the assigned private asset classes– private equity, debts, credits and real assets investments.
  • Support operational feasibility assessment including deal funding mechanics, portfolio accounting / valuations implications, treasury, credit, and hedging initiatives during investments / divestments.
  • Effective partnering with stakeholders such as Investment Team, Investment Finance Specialists and Investment Operation members, Tax, Legal & Compliance, external advisors, and service providers to execute efficient and timely deal closing.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation exchange and funding for new investments.
  • Implement efficient operating models for onboarding/offboarding investment portfolios across jurisdictions.
  • Serve as the go‑to resource for investment process, procedures, and compliance policy queries, including advisory on approval processes, deal closing requirements and timelines.
  • Identify gaps in current workflow and take a proactive, technology‑enabled approach to drive operational front‑mid‑back process improvements and efficiencies, and reduce operational risks.
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in deal finance advisory and transaction management, ideally in private equity, debts, credits, or real assets.
  • Degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent; ideally a qualified accountant.
  • Strong understanding of private investments’ deal closing mechanics, structuring, documentation, and controls.
  • Detail‑oriented analytical thinker with creative problem‑solving skills to effectively manage complex situations in a timely manner.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Self‑starter with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional, multicultural environment.
