Maybank Securities, a leading brokerage and investment bank with a reach extending across ASEAN, the UK and the US, offers a comprehensive suite of services. These include corporate finance & advisory, navigating debt and equity capital markets, derivatives trading, brokerage and research for both retail and institutional investors, and prime brokerage.

The selected candidate will be a key member of the Corporate Finance & Advisory team under our Investment Banking and Advisory department in Singapore. The candidate will work on corporate finance and investment banking transactions across various industry sectors both in Singapore and regional markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute corporate finance transactions, including initial public offerings, equity fund raises and mergers & acquisitions, from origination through to transaction close
  • Manage corporate finance work streams such as due diligence and documentation, including coordinating with other professionals such as auditors and legal counsels on submissions to regulators including the SGX-ST
  • Identify key risks and issues in transactions and work with other professionals to propose solutions to resolve or mitigate these risks and issues
  • Prepare corporate presentations, pitch books and business proposals for client meetings
  • Conduct in-depth market research, financial analysis, and valuation modelling to assess transaction viability
  • Support senior bankers in clients relationship management and the training of junior bankers
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Banking, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a relevant discipline
  • CMFAS “Advising on Corporate Finance” (or exemptions therefrom) and such other CMFAS modules as may be required
  • At least 4 to 6 years of relevant corporate finance, investment banking and/or capital markets working experience
  • Strong understanding of SGX-ST listing rules and other relevant rules and regulations
  • Strong analytical, numeric and communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills, able to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to details and able to deliver results under pressure and multiple deadlines
