Job summary

Clyde & Co Clasis Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Associate level lawyer to join our growing Energy/Projects team in Singapore.

You will handle a mix of corporate and project development work, collaborating with the Partner on cross-border transactions, LNG, gas, power, and energy transition matters. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years PQE in energy/projects or corporate, are English-law qualified, and are willing to relocate to Singapore; Mandarin proficiency is a plus for Mandarin-speaking

Qualifications

• Must be qualified in a common law jurisdiction outside Singapore.
• 2–5 years’ post-qualification experience with energy/projects or a general corporate background.
• UK-qualified candidates willing to relocate to Singapore are welcome.
• Excellent drafting, research and problem-solving skills.

• Contribute to business development and client-facing activities.

Job requirements

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join a growing Energy/Projects team in our Singapore office as an Associate level lawyer. This role offers a unique combination of corporate and project development matters, working closely with the Partner who advises energy and natural resources clients on complex cross-border projects, transactions and commercial arrangements across Asia and globally, encompassing LNG, gas, power, mining and energy transition-related matters.

Along with first rate exposure to large and complex corporate transactions and energy projects, you will work in close collaboration with the Partner. This role also offers meaningful opportunity and scope for training, development, active involvement in business development and client facing activities.

Candidate Profile

• Must be qualified in a common law jurisdiction apart from Singapore (e.g. England & Wales, Australia,HK, U.S.)

• 2-5 years' post-qualification experience, with an energy/projects background or with a general corporate background and genuine interest to join a projects and energy practice.

• UK law-qualified candidates currently living in other countries who are willing to relocate to Singapore are welcome to apply

• Pragmatic and proactive mindset, taking initiative, anticipating challenges and actively seeking effective solutions

• Excellent legal drafting, research and problem-solving skills

• Proven ability to work as part of a team and build effective working relationships with clients, local counsel and colleagues

• Language proficiency: English (native). Mandarin (good business level proficiency) will be an advantage to deal with Mandarin speaking clients.

• A willingness to relocate to Singapore for overseas candidates with some work‑related travel.
