Job Description
Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for leading the product strategy by crafting long-term product visions and strategies. This includes market research, identifying opportunities and directing product trajectory to align with business goals
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a comprehensive and relevant suite of fund offerings is available to support both retail and institutional segments across Southeast Asia. This involves spearheading product development efforts, coordinating with key stakeholders-both internal and external-and overseeing end-to-end project execution. Responsibilities include evaluating business potential, identifying risks and challenges early, and delivering timely, practical solutions.
  • Work in close alignment with regional Product Development teams to facilitate smooth and consistent implementation of corporate actions.
  • Build strong relationships with distribution teams to stay attuned to market demands and deliver product solutions that align with commercial goals and timelines.
  • Serve as a gatekeeper for product governance processes by adopting regional best practices. Play a key role in preparing, reviewing, and securing approvals for new product initiatives at both local and regional committee levels.
  • Take charge of drafting local offering documents and coordinate with internal departments, external legal advisors, and regulatory bodies for new fund registrations and ongoing product-related matters.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on new products, enhancements to existing offerings, and newly introduced features, supporting both local and regional distribution strategies.
  • Stay informed on regulatory changes and industry trends within the region, and assess their implications on the local fund lineup and broader product strategy.
  • Assist the regional Product Development team in identifying product gaps and opportunities, leveraging market insights and regulatory developments to evaluate and enhance the commercial viability of the local product suite.
Job Requirements
  • Degree, preferably in Finance or Accountancy
  • At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the Banking or asset management experience (investment management, markets or investment banking), with some experience in sales will be an advantage
  • Solution oriented attitude, hardworking, motivated and can-do attitude
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of financial market (macro) trends and themes across equities, fixed income and commodities
  • Good knowledge and understanding of ETF and Unit Trust
  • Excellent knowledge of key business systems such Powerpoint and Excel as well as Bloomberg, with the ability to manipulate data and create collateral
  • Self-motivated
  • Good team player
