Job summary

A leading financial institution in Singapore is seeking an experienced risk management professional to strengthen its Enterprise risk framework. The role requires over 10 years of experience in banking, specifically focused on Enterprise and Non-Financial risk management. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to promote a risk management culture within the organization. This is a full-time position at an executive level and includes responsibilities related to risk assessments and strategic reporting.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of working experience in Enterprise Risk or Non-Financial risk management in Banking.
  • Experience in establishing risk frameworks and monitoring.
  • Strong skills interacting with various risk management functions.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Strengthen Singapore office Enterprise risk framework
  • Coordinate with various risk management functions in the branch handling financial and non-financial risk in the branch to conduct risk assessment, review and challenge Key Risk Indicators (KRI) from risk functions, partner with other risk functions to enhance the monitoring framework, propose new key risk indicators commensurate with the branch's risk profile and appetite, get involved in risk register and risk acceptance tracking; and facilitate risk reporting.
  • Establish new framework or enhance existing framework for risk assessments, tracking and monitoring, risk reporting.
  • Assist Section Head for Country's Risk Committee preparation and coordination, preparation for risk related topics for the Country's Executive Committee for reporting, etc.
  • Actively participate in Singapore's various sub-risk committees together with Section Head
  • Promote risk management culture in the bank
  • Assist Section Head in other risk management duties from time to time including relevant adhoc project participation.
Requirements
  • University degree or equivalent with at least 10 years of working experience in Enterprise Risk or Non-Financial risk management in Banking industry.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good team player who is able to effectively interact with various risk management functions in the Singapore office.
  • Positive attitude to proactively change/establish new framework for appropriate risk management and drive risk management culture in the bank.
