Position Overview

The Assistant UPS Manager oversees the operations, maintenance, and performance of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems including DC charger across facilities or client sites. This role involves managing a team of engineers or technicians, ensuring system reliability, coordinating preventive maintenance schedules, and responding to power-related emergencies. The manager is responsible for ensuring system uptime, maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and contractually KPI set. Strong leadership, technical expertise in power systems, and strategic planning skills are essential to ensure continuous power availability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting to Department Manager for the fulfilment of maintenance contract requirement of DC Charger/Zonal/UPS system.
  • Maintains good relationship with related vendors and customers for the maintenance contract of DC Charger/Zonal/UPS system.
  • Manage a team of field engineers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Plan and optimize resources to carry out preventive maintenance of UPS systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Plan and optimize resources to execute corrective maintenance when necessary to resolve system faults or alarms.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to maintain the operational integrity of the UPS systems.Provide technical and engineering support for DC Charger/Zonal/UPS system.
  • Sound knowledge of safety requirement of power system maintenance for DC Charger/Zonal/UPS system.
  • Available in a standby 24/7 environment for any activation or system issues.
  • Able to respond to short notice and work irregular hours to meet ad-hoc job assignments.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in handling DC Charger / Zonal / UPS system for at least 5 years.
  • Sound network and good technical knowledge in the Power System industry.
