Job description

As an Allied Infant Educarer /AIE, you will be focusing on looking after infants from 2 to 18 months by creating a safe and conducive learning environment for infants.

You will play an important role in supporting the learning and development of infants and toddlers through interactive and stimulating experiences. You will share a special bond with these little ones as you partner their families and witness their development. You will partner with parents to foster the holistic development of infants and toddlers.

Caregiving & Routines

  • Assist in daily caregiving routines such as:
    Feeding
    Diaper changing
    Bathing
    Napping
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the infants and the care environment.
  • Support in preparing and serving meals/formula milk according to feeding schedules.

Classroom & Learning Support

  • Assist Infant Educarers in implementing developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Support infants’ development in motor, language, cognitive, and social skills.
  • Help maintain an orderly and stimulating environment.
Health & Safety
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well‑being of infants at all times.
  • Follow centre policies and ECDA health and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor and report any signs of illness or developmental concerns to the Infant Educarer or Supervisor.
Administrative & Communication
  • Assist in keeping daily records (feeding, sleeping, diapering).
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with parents during drop‑off/pick‑up.
  • Participate in team meetings, staff training, and centre events when required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum GCE N Level/O Level or equivalent
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A team player with passion and interest in caring for and developing infants and toddlers
  • Basic computer skill would be an added advantage
