Overview

KidsFirst is an Early Intervention School, Occupational Therapy, and Speech and Language Therapy clinic for children. Our centre works with children with special needs (Autism, Global Developmental Delay, Down Syndrome, ADHD, genetic disorders, Cerebral Palsy, etc). We deliver an intensive therapy-based program and also provide 1-1 therapy services. KidsFirst serves a mixed population of international and Singaporean clients, and is listed as one of the preferred Early Intervention Centres by KK Women's and Children’s Hospital and National University Hospital (NUH) - Singapore. We are located at 8 Hong Kong Street, Singapore 059651. Our facility houses five state-of-the-art Occupational Therapy Gyms, Speech Therapy Rooms and Early Intervention classrooms, conveniently located near Clarke Quay Central, Chinatown Point, Riverside Point and Hong Lim Market & Food Centre.

We are looking for a Permanent Full-Time Assistant Teacher to support the program as below.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct lessons in a specialized small group, Early Intervention Program (EIP) setting.
  • FollowIndividualized Educational Plan (IEP) goals for students and contribute to progress reports.
  • Create/set up learning activities, support classroom supervision, and follow through on learning/behaviour plans; support children’s daily living skills (toileting, dressing and mealtime routines).
  • Administrative work – classroom and center-based.
  • Oversee facility maintenance, including cleanliness, safety and repairs.
  • Perform general front desk administrative support when needed.
  • Work in collaboration with a multi-professional team of teachers and therapists.
Candidate Requirements
  • Teaching qualifications or equivalent in Special Education (value).
  • Experience teaching with children with special needs (value).
  • Experience working in a Preschool setting (value).
  • Must be proficient in communicating and writing professionally in English.
  • Salary commensurate with experience and level of qualification.
