Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is looking for a Field Engineer to provide technical support, develop checklists, and serve as a liaison between suppliers and the team. The ideal candidate should have a diploma in engineering and at least 2 years of experience in field service support. Proficiency in English and the ability to travel are required. This role involves commuting within Singapore.

Job Description

• Execute field technical support to commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and/or systems assigned.

• Develop relevant technical checklists and work instructions.

• Be the technical liaison between suppliers and team members if so assigned.

• Provide technical and engineering assistance to sales staff (if any).

• May be assigned to secure or maintain contracted service sales in the area of provision of preventive and corrective maintenance contract with customers.

• Interface with relevant stakeholders to facilitate service requests fulfilment.

Requirements

• Minimally a Diploma in Biomedical Engineering / Mechatronics / Electrical / Electronic.

• At least 2 years hands-on working experience in field service support or equivalent technical experience. Those with lesser experience can work as Assistant Engineer to start with.

• Good technical and analytical trouble shooting skills in equipment and systems.

• Independent, self-sufficient and customer oriented individual.

• Requires commuting within Singapore from site to site to execute duties.

• Proficient in spoken and written English

• Basic knowledge in IT networking and electrical engineering

• May need to travel overseas as and when needed for training/servicing
