Job Description
Ensure general security, car park, visitor management and emergency contingency plans and procedures are in order
Ensure all security documentation and record books are updated
Responsibilities
- Direct supervision of and conduct spot checks on field officers to ensure that they remain alert and discharge their duties correctly and in accordance with their job descriptions, procedures and instructions
 
- Conduct investigations into any security-related incidents and put up incident reports to the relevant authorities
 
- Conduct SWOT training for all Security Officers
 
- Monitor and supervise security patrols, special deployments, bag checking/ screening, CCTV and Door Ajar operations etc
 
- Ensure the smooth running of the respective security checkpoints, Fire command centre and their associated equipments
 
- Handle staff misdemeanors and guest complaints
 
- Proper administration of spare keys, master guest key cards and matters related to security of locker room lockers
 
- Liaise and coordinate with staff from other departments on their security needs
 
- Support all corporate events/functions with the necessary security coverage
 
- Assist in the education of hotel permanent/temporary staff on all security policies, issues, procedures and promote security awareness
 
- Assist in the conduct of Security Induction for newly-enlisted employees
 
- Monitor/check on all contractors/suppliers/vendors working in the hotel premises that and ensure that they adhere to the Safety and Security requirements
 
- Conduct security audits as and when required
 
- Liaise with the relevant authorities- Singapore Police Force, SCDF, Singapore Hotel Association) on all fire, safety and security matters
 
- Ensure compulsory attendance by all security staff for hotel sponsored WSQ related or generic personnel development training courses
 
- Ensure that the outsource Security Officers’ are complied with the safety and security guidelines of the hotel
 
- Ensure that all hotel licenses are up to date and to alert Building, Security Manager should there be any discrepancies detected
 
- Co-operating and responding to requests or queries from Head Office Key Personnel in a timely basis
 
Qualifications and Requirements
- Relevant experience working in hotel in similar position
 
- Able to work shifts and/or weekends and public holiday
 
- Knowledge of Singapore’s security regulations and emergency response protocols
 
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to act independently during incidents
 
- Proficiency in operating security systems (e.g., CCTV, access controls, alarms) and writing reports
 
- Excellent interpersonal skills to guide security officers
