Monday – Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (inclusive of 0.5-hour lunch break)
🍱 Lunch duration between 30 minutes to 1 hour (to be arranged with supervisor).
📆 No work required on Saturdays, Sundays, or gazetted public holidays.

🧪 Work Scope
🧰 1. Daily Laboratory Operations
- Open and close laboratory doors and windows at the start and end of the day.
- Ensure gas taps, fans, and electrical outlets are switched off after each session.
- Maintain overall cleanliness of all science labs — clearing bins, cleaning sinks, benches, drawers, cupboards, and shelves.
- Return reagent bottles and apparatus to their designated storage areas.
⚗️ 2. Laboratory Preparation & Support
Assist Laboratory Technicians in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Lower Secondary Science by:
- Setting up and laying out apparatus for practical lessons and exams.
- Cleaning and clearing apparatus after lessons and ensuring proper drying and storage.
- Preparing materials and solutions, including weighing, dispensing, and labeling chemicals and specimens.
- Refilling distilled water and diluted reagents on benches.
- Cutting and preparing fresh ingredients for student use.
- Maintaining and checking Physics apparatus (e.g., inserting or removing batteries).
- Providing support from the preparation room during practical sessions if required.
🧼 3. Post-Experiment Duties
- Assist in GCE ‘O’ Level Science Practical Exam preparation, setup, and post-exam clean-up.
- Ensure all apparatus and laboratories are restored to ready condition for future use.
🧾 4. Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in inventory checking and stock management.
- Perform any other ad‑hoc duties assigned by the HOD (Science) to support Science Department operations.
🎓 Qualifications, Skills & Experience
✅ Minimum Qualification
- GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent.
🌟 Preferred Experience
- At least 2 years of relevant experience as an Assistant Laboratory Technician in a school or research environment.
