Position Overview
The Assistant Sales & Marketing Manager supports the Sales Team in the planning, execution and monitoring of sales and marketing strategies across key accounts, distributors, and channels. This role focuses on operational execution, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, data analysis and day-to-day sales and marketing activities to achieve company sales objectives.
Main Functions & Responsibilities
People Management
- Distributor Management & Leadership
- Manage and collaborate with the distributor to drive sales performance and achieve overall sales, customer satisfaction and performance goals
- Lead, coach, and mentor the sales and customer service teams to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Sales Target & KPI Setting
- Develop and assign individual sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for distributor teams.
- Monitor and review performance regularly to ensure sales objectives are met or exceeded.
Customer Development
- Maintain close contact with key customers and distributors
- Quarterly business review with major channels (key accounts) and distributor’s teams (monthly meetings, weekly telephone calls)
- Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
- Negotiate and close agreements with large customers
- Present our company to potential clients
- Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
- Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
- Build long‑term trusting relationships with clients
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
Increase sales of customers in line with company sales budget
- Use your creativity and thorough knowledge of sales processes to provide innovative ideas for business growth.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies
- Develop and manage strategies to develop brand overseas
- Collaborate with distributor to achieve sales targets
- Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
- Develop and maintain successful relationships with Distributor and key customers
- Monitor and analyse performance metrics and suggest improvements
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
- Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
- Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs
- Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure distributor and internal sales team members are on board
Increase listings inside existing customers and new customers
- List new products – expand HST products portfolio according to the priorities and suitability of customers
- Optimize product portfolio to increase and maximize sales with excellent product visibility of shelves for priority products
- Ensure customers and Distributors should follow HST Sales plan as main turnover KPI
- Store checks together with customers and distributor
Initiate and implement trade marketing plan for all categories, monthly/ quarterly promotional plans
- Oversee strategic planning and make sure timely execution of overall Marketing Calendar
- Stay on current market trends and competitive activity
- Develop promotional programmes and manage marketing budget
- Oversee the planning and conducting of market research
- Analyse and evaluate effectiveness of each project
- Provide guidance to plan and coordinate campaigns and communications through all phases of launch
- Collaborate with Teams from other departments such as Procurement, Finance, Warehouse and Production for project implementation
- Manage sales & marketing budget and expenditures
- Work closely with Marketing for promotional plan design
- Communicate in time with all Customers and distributors yearly events (marketing calendar activities and leaflets)
- Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency
