Job summary

A leading industrial supply company in Singapore is looking for a Sales Executive to drive new business acquisition for carbon steel pipes across various sectors. The role requires 3–5 years of experience in industrial product sales, a relevant degree, and the ability to independently manage technical sales presentations and client relationships. The position involves approximately 30% travel across Southeast Asia and offers a fixed salary range of SGD $4,200 – $6,600.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in industrial product sales, preferably steel pipes or structural steel.
  • Familiarity with international standards (API 5L, API 5CT, ASTM A106, ASTM A53) is an advantage.
  • Able to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.

Location: Raffles Place (Near MRT)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Fixed Salary Range: SGD $4,200 – $6,600

Travel Requirement: Approx. 30% across Southeast Asia

Reporting To: Head of Department

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive new business acquisition for carbon steel pipes (seamless, welded, API 5L, ASTM grades) across sectors such as oil & gas, offshore construction, shipbuilding, water infrastructure, and manufacturing
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet assigned targets
  • Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations tailored to client needs
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications independently (no engineering support team)
  • Advise clients on steel pipe grades, dimensions, coatings/linings, and compliance with international standards (API 5L, API 5CT, ASTM A106, ASTM A53, EN, ISO)
  • Collaborate with manufacturers to prepare accurate bids and proposals
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers, distributors, and project contractors
  • Respond promptly to inquiries, quotations, and order confirmations
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor pricing, and market gaps to propose new initiatives
  • Coordinate with internal teams (production, logistics, quality) to ensure timely delivery and resolve project-related issues
Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in industrial product sales, preferably steel pipes or structural steel
  • Familiarity with international standards (API 5L, API 5CT, ASTM A106, ASTM A53) is an advantage
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office; CRM experience is a plus
  • Able to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Willing and able to travel for business across Southeast Asia
  • Experience in pipeline stocklists or offshore construction is preferred
