The Assistant Sales Manager / Sales Manager plays a key role in driving sales growth and providing technical expertise for marine turbocharger maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services. This role combines technical proficiency, commercial acumen, and relationship management to engage ship owners, management companies, OEMs, and other stakeholders in the marine industry.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Sales & Support

Provide pre- and post-sales technical support for marine turbocharger systems and components.

Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and technical presentations tailored to client requirements.

Collaborate with engineering teams to design effective, cost-efficient solutions.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.

Conduct client visits, meetings, and follow-ups to identify business opportunities.

Serve as the key contact for all technical and commercial matters.

Business Development

Identify and secure new opportunities to meet sales targets.

Participate in tender preparation, contract negotiation, and deal closure.

Maintain accurate records, forecasts, and reports in CRM.

Market Insights & Service Improvement

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.

Recommend enhancements to services and offerings based on insights.

Project Coordination

Coordinate with operations and service teams for smooth project handovers.

Ensure client expectations are met throughout project execution.

Participate in post-project reviews to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Marine Engineering or related field.

3–5 years of sales or technical support experience in marine turbocharger MRO or related field.

Strong technical knowledge of major OEM turbochargers (ABB, MAN, MET, etc.).

Proven track record in sales performance and client relationship management.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
