Job description

As an Assistant Retail Executive at Yamaha Thomson Plaza, you will play an important role in delivering excellent customer service and supporting the day-to-day retail operations. You will assist customers in selecting musical instruments and accessories, handle sales transactions and cashiering duties, provide administrative and operational support for the Thomson Music Salon rental facility.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
PRIMARY

Assist customers in selecting suitable musical instruments, books, accessories, and related products.

Provide accurate product information, recommendations, and demonstrations to enhance the customer experience.

Support sales targets by promoting ongoing campaigns and new arrivals.

Deliver excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries through telephone, email, online inquiry forms, and chat messages.

Handle customer feedback, concerns, and basic after-sales support courteously and efficiently.

Perform cashiering duties, process payments accurately, and ensure proper end-of-day reconciliation.

Manage all necessary documentation for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges in accordance with company policy.

Ensure the retail area is clean, organized, and attractively presented with updated product displays.

SECONDARY

Assist the Music School team with customer communications, student enrolments, course fee processing, and other administrative tasks as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Preferably with retail or sales experience, especially in a customer-facing environment.

Ability to play a musical instrument will be an added advantage.

Customer-oriented with a positive attitude and passion for providing excellent service.

A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Willing to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
