Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is looking for a qualified individual to manage procurement and cost management processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include liaising with vendors, preparing contracts and verifying claims, all in a collaborative construction environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering required.

Responsibilities

  • Compiles and evaluates vendor quotations.
  • Prepares bill of quantities and estimates materials and labor.
  • Liaises with suppliers and sub-contractors for costing.
  • Attends site meetings occasionally.
  • Prepares contracts and verifies claims submitted.
  • Verify progress claims submitted by subcontractors and prepare payment certificates.
  • Carry out procurement and cost management processes.
  • Track design and construction changes and adjust budgets.
  • Liaise with clients and other construction professionals.
  • Prepare contract documents for subcontractors and suppliers.

Job description
Job Dueties :
  • Obtains,compiles and evaluates quotations from the vendors according to the tender requirements.
  • Prepare bill of quantities which invoices quantity take-off, matgerial sourcing, measuring and estimating materials and labour costing.
  • Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors on costing, quotation.
  • Attend site meeting occasionally.
  • Preparing and formalizing work orkers and submcontract agreements / variation orders / final accounts
  • Verify progress claims submitted by subcontractors / supplier and prepare payment certificates.
  • Able to carry out procurement, detailed breakdown pricing, cost management process.
  • Track changes to the design and construction work and adjusting budget projections in accordance.
  • Liaise with the client and other construction professionals.
  • To prepare contract documents to sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Performs other ad hoc duties as assigned
Requirements :
  • Candidate mus possess at least Bachelor's Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma/ Professional Degree in Engineering (civil) or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
