Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager in supporting the Institution Lead in the planning and implementation of Facilities Development projects and set up project management systems and tools.
Job Responsibilities
- Assisting the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and monitoring all aspects of the project lifecycle
- Participating in the development and implementation of project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and problem‑solving
- Monitoring project progress and identifying and resolving any issues or risks that arise
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and the company's policies and procedures
- Providing support in the preparation of progress reports, change orders, and other project documentation
- Assisting with the management of project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials
- Collaborating with the project team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and process optimisation
- Mechanical and Electrical Support:
- Provide support to the team in the preparation of project related tender documents (including specifications, cost estimates, scope of work, BOQ, etc.) and the review and evaluation of variations and/or contractual claims, where required.
- Review and sign‑off projects related documents.
- Oversee consultants, site staff and contractors in implementation, inspection, and testing and commissioning of M&E systems in renovation projects.
- Coordinate and collaborate with various stakeholders such as Project Manager, Project Owner, Facilities Management, etc.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably in the construction or healthcare facilities industry
- Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, and team members
- Proficient in using project management software and other relevant tools
- Adaptable and able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines and achieve project objectives
- Keen attention to detail and a problem‑solving mindset
