Job summary

A local engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Project Manager specializing in Fire Protection Systems. The ideal candidate will manage project budgets, oversee construction activities, and lead a team of engineers while ensuring compliance with safety guidelines. A degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience are required.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Perform full spectrum of Project Management relating to Fire Protection System
• To prepare project budget, to source suppliers and subcontractors, oversee and coordinate site activities of projects
• Manage, plan, and lead for Fire Protection and Fire alarm System.
• To develop design proposals with necessary calculation and compliance, to prepare and submit shop drawings and equipment/material for approval by Consultants and Architects
• To prepare and submit as-built drawings and operation maintenance manual, and conduct training for client during handing over of project upon completion
• To prepare and submit progress reports, proposals, requirement documentation, and presentations.
• Manage a team of engineers, supervisors, suppliers, sub-contractors and workers during the execution of the project.
• To monitor and follow up on construction progress, to submit progress claims and variation claims till closing of final account
• To attend site meetings with Developers, Architects, Consultants & Main contractors
• Ensure job are carried out with compliance to safety guideline
• To lead and communicate with our Site Engineer and Site Supervisor.
• Controlling the cost of the materials and labour.

Requirements

• Possess Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years relevant Fire Sprinkler System and Fire Alarm System in a local construction environment
• Possess good knowledge and experience in engineering design for Fire Sprinkler System and Fire Alarm System
• Familiar with relevant standards, Codes of Practices and Authority requirements
• Able to lead independently with strong analytical, interpersonal & communicate skills with the ability to build good relationships with all parties
