Assistant Project Manager (Exp PLC, Food Manufacturing, Eng Drawing)

Company: Listed company in processing, production, and packaging of food products for consumer or industrial, market leader in food manufacturing

Working Hour / Location: 8.30am to 5.30pm (Mon - Fri) / West Coast (Transport pickup to and fro at Clementi MRT)

Remunerations: (Basic - $4,500 to $5,000) + 13 mths AWS + V.Bonus + yearly increment + perk & permanent staff benefit

Responsibilities
  • Reports to the Engineering Manager and serves as a Project Team Lead within the Engineering and Production departments.
  • Manages and supports Engineering Projects, assisting the Senior Engineer in production operations and overall management.
  • Participates in machinery installation, commissioning and performs troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment or machinery failures when required.
  • Develops and maintains technical training programs for staff.
  • Leads Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives for all machines and equipment.
  • Conducts studies to improve machine and equipment performance and oversees spare parts procurement.
  • Involved in PLC-related tasks and coordinates closely with Production, Vendors, and Contractors.
  • Ensures compliance with legislation, HSE regulations, Quality Control, and ISO standards.
  • Guides maintenance team to achieve maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develops and implements checklists, policies, standards, and procedures to support continuous improvement.
  • Oversees and evaluates external contractors’ performance and safety compliance.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity from manufacturing industry.
  • Added advantage for candidates with experience from food manufacturing industry.
  • Possesses strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledgeable in PLC systems, basic robotic operations, and electrical schematics.
  • Understand and able to interpret engineering drawings, possess strong technical knowledge.
  • Independent and proactive leader with strong teamwork abilities.
  • Excellent written and communication skill.
  • Results-driven, responsible, and self-motivated, with a strong sense of initiative.
