Job summary

A leading construction company in Singapore is seeking a project manager to oversee operations in structural steel works. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, with 5-10 years of experience in project management within the construction industry. Qualifications

• Minimum 5-10 years of relevant project management experience in the construction industry.
• Deep knowledge of ISO certifications and BCA regulations in Singapore.
• Ability to travel to different project sites in Singapore.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with contractors while monitoring different phases of the project.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety procedures and regulations.
• Review, validate, and approve claims submitted by suppliers and subcontractors.
• Oversee timely submission and processing of project claims and payments.
• Monitor project operations closely to ensure completion within the agreed timeline, budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to track progress and ensure quality standards.
• Coordinate and allocate necessary resources (e.g. manpower, machinery, equipment, materials) to support project execution, and ensure subcontractors adhere to work schedules and contractual obligations.

Requirements

• Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5-10 years of relevant project management experience in structural steel works / construction industry (soldier piling, sheet piling, steel strutting, decking services, etc.)
• Deep exposure for certifications (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) and BCA regulations in Singapore.
• Possess the leadership qualities and able to lead a team efficiently.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Able to travel to sites around Singapore and work at project sites.
