Job summary
A telecommunication services company based in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to drive project management and team leadership within the telecommunications and maintenance industry. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, at least one year of relevant experience, and proficiency with major telecommunications equipment. Excellent communication and analytical skills are essential. Certification in PMP project management is a plus.

- Significant proficiency in maintenance of air-conditioning system.
- Certification in PMP project management is an advantage.

Job Description
- Project Management - Setup and drive lifecycle of a project. Accountable for project planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, resolution of issues and achievement of the targets set for the project such as delivery of the Scope within agreed Quality, Time, Budget & other agreed KPIs/SLAs. Monitor the progress and Predict risks (Quality, timeline and budget) as needed and take necessary mitigations which lead to meet the KPI. Prioritisation of activities (self, team, external). Determine, drive and monitor internal processes within the team.
- People Management - Attract, develop and retain talent to build and maintain strong, effective & competent teams and build their knowledge. Structures the group in a way that is best-suited to the project and maximizes efficiency. Coaching and empowering the team. Fostering an environment that encourages team work, motivates and inspires. Manage the day to day employee relation aspect.
- Technical Leadership - Leads the team to resolve technical challenges. Leads cross initiatives to build the technical competency to meet the needs of the team or unit. Applies his or her technical expertise to solve problems and enable the team to deliver quality solutions. Develop training materials and train project engineers and installers as required. Promotes team engagement and motivation. Provides technical guidance to the project teams in regards to outdoor/indoor installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and repairing air-conditioning system, telecommunication equipment and general maintenance of facilities.
- Quality - Accountable for meeting quality objectives. Accountable for team following best engineering practices, quality processes and methodologies.
- Communication - Promote clarity and alignment by communicating effectively to the project team ongoing on the unit goals and status, project matters, etc. Communicate effectively up, down and laterally. Strive to have strong and healthy working relationships with the team.
- Business value - Manage efficiently the stakeholders relationship and communication to ensure the project's delivery is aligned to meet not only the customer requirements but in addition add value to their business.
Job Requirements
- Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience as Assistant Project Manager in Telecommunication and/or Maintenance Industry.
- Significant proficiency/In-depth knowledge in maintenance of air-conditioning system, telecommunication equipment and general maintenance of facilities.
- Experience in telecommunications system.
- Must have working experience on at least one of the following equipment - Ericsson, Nokia, Siemens, Motorola or Huawei.
- Previous experience in leading tasks or mentoring engineers.
- Certification in PMP project management will be an advantage.
- Self-motivated with strong sense of responsibility and urgency.
- Good in documentation, reporting and tasks tracking ability.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical skills, able to work independently and cope with pressure.
- Salary will commensurate with experience.
