- Position Title: Assistant Production Manager
- Working Location: Tuas (Company transport provided)
- Working Hours: 5 Days, Monday - Friday (8am - 5pm)
- Salary Package: Basic Salary + Transport Allowance + AWS + Sign-On Bonus
- Duration: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Operations Manager in daily production activities, including thermal treatment, chemical leaching, milling, blending, and related processes.
- Coordinate workflows across production, engineering, logistics, and chemical leaching teams to maintain smooth operations.
- Track production output, recovery yields, and process efficiency to meet operational targets.
- Ensure materials are handled, processed, and stored according to approved SOPs and work instructions.
- Assist in troubleshooting process deviations, upsets, and operational issues to restore stable performance.
- Enforce safe handling procedures for hazardous chemicals and high-value materials, ensuring disciplined compliance on site.
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety, health, and environmental (SHE) regulations and company standards.
- Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis, and support corrective/ preventive action implementation.
- Promote safety culture through toolbox talks, inspections, and routine safety briefings.
- Maintain full traceability and accurate documentation for materials, including verification of sampling, testing, weighing, and inspection activities.
- Support internal, external, and customer audits, ensuring compliance with policies, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Lead and supervise production teams, supporting manpower planning, shift scheduling, task allocation, coaching, and acting as Operations Manager's delegate when needed.
- Monitor inventory levels of critical spares, work-in-progress, and finished jobs.
- Review and update SOPs and work instructions as required.
Qualifications>
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or equivalent); safety certification is an added advantage.
- Minimum 3-5 years of related experience in the manufacturing>Prior supervisory or assistant management experience is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient, and PowerPoint.
