Assistant Production Manager

Report to: Project Manager

Min Qualifications / Experience:

Diploma/Degree holder in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience

Job Skills Required:

Possess broad and deep knowledge of production and project management, problem solving, interpersonal & leadership skills

Responsible for/authorised to:
  • Responsible for daily operations of project, workshop and store functions.
  • Overall planning of production resources to ensure maximum utilization of manpower, facilities and materials.
  • Monitor, plan and expedite all fabrication works to meet delivery schedule.
  • Plan and review the upgrade of machinery equipment to achieve higher productivity and efficiency.
  • Plan and maximize the working area in the workshop and open yard for fabrication work.
  • Problem solving in fabrication, maintenance and projects issues.
  • Provide guidance and assistance, where necessary to project engineers in the management of projects.
  • Participate in the evaluation of contractors and suppliers short-listed by Procurement.
  • Participate in technical and commercial discussion with client, inspectors, contractors and internal departments.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment and maintain discipline in the in the production workforce including contractors.
  • Any adhoc projects assigned by General Manager
